Web20 Dec 2024 · Tf(x) = ∞ ∑ k = 0f ( k) (a) k! (x − a)k. In the special case where a = 0 in Equation 8.5.50, the Taylor series is also called the Maclaurin series for f. From Example 8.5.1 we know the nth order Taylor polynomial centered at 0 for the exponential function ex; thus, the Maclaurin series for ex is. ∞ ∑ k = 0xk k!. WebParticipation may vary. Web15 Nov 2016 · 1 Answer Sorted by: 6 diff (f, x) can't derivate the function yet, so it results in the abstract Derivative (f (x), x). Substitution doesn't do any evaluation, so substituting f for 3*x + 2 results in Derivative (3*x + 2, x). If you want to evaluate it, just append doit (): >>> diff (f, x).subs (f, 3*x + 2).doit () 3 Share Improve this answer Web24 Feb 2024 · Now matlab states that there are errors at F_x0=feval(objF,x0); and at y=x^5-5*x^3-20*x+5; nbc new york news live stream
