I'm not one, so I don't know what hurts it, but Ballistol is an aerosol that is pretty gentle on most stuff, though I make no claims to what it may or may not due to the Duty Treatment. I use Mobil 1 on all of my firearms including those w/DT- some with 40K+ rounds that remain in perfect condition and function. Proper maintenance is the key.
